Fair Food Matters
In 2000, the PFC Board of Directors decided there was a need to educate the Kalamazoo community with some programs like the People's Food Co-op Lecture Series, and the Co-op Garden. With the help of, then manager, Sue St. Onge, we realized that we could not do that on the till of the store, running at the tight margins that we do. So, the Board sparked what is now the stand-alone educational non-profit Fair Food Matters. Their programs and partnerships take the educational mission of the PFC to a whole new level.
